Nothing is Finished, Nothing is Perfect, Nothing Lasts

CorianĀ®

This architectural intervention was commissioned by Open Eye Gallery as part of their wall work series; works that use the exterior of the building. Nothing is finished, Nothing is Perfect, Nothing Lasts refers to the Japanese ideas of Wabi and Sabi and the temporary perfection of a new building. The work is made from the same material as the wall cladding, CorianĀ®. Thermo-formed, it appears as if the corner of the building is beginning to unfold.

Many thanks to Philip Hutfield from McD Marketing Ltd for his problem solving and hard work and to Cutting Edge plc for the use of their amazing workshop to fabricate the piece.
